You
will never guess whom! Or, maybe you will because I keep talking about it.

I'm Bored?
I
want to just point out to you that it has been over a week now (9-10 days, lets be serious) since the sun
has been out. It hasn't even tried - not a little bit! The gloom is getting to
me and I fear a bad case of cabin fever and winter has not officially started
yet. I am in dire need of some sun and Vitamin D. It is saying (well, the meteorologists are saying, but what the hell do they know!) full sun on
Saturday and if that is so the case, I am getting up with the sun, taking the
hubby and dogs and going on a big hike until it sets again. I want to absorb
every ray of light that shines down - for my body, mind, and spirit! Please
sun, please come out and play!

Quick Note
A BIG thank you to my readers for their support on my "crash and burn" weekend. There is so much love and support and it makes it just a tad bit easier to know that I am not alone in the food struggle!

Signs and Confessions
Confession: I had some really bad food this
weekend, which I paid for dearly during my early four-mile run yesterday morning.
I am going to elaborate about it, but if you do not want to read the pity party
I am about to have, just scroll on down to "Signs."

It's NOT Cancer!
Hello
readers! I am happy to report that Poo Poo is totally fine (hmm, shocker?). Actually, she hasn't really lost that much weight (0.38 pounds to be exact) and though the
vet didn't come out and say it, sounds like I am the one with the issue (go
figure). She said that they could do the blood work and x-rays or try some
acupuncture (there was a merge of Eastern and Western philosophies going on in
her head) and she told me she is leaning more towards the acupuncture. So, that
is what we did and I am a big believer in that kind of medicine and Poo Poo did
all right. She did not eat dinner at all tonight, but I expect that after a day
to the vet…
…But
as you can see in the picture below, she is saving her dinner for bookmark
ribbon. Go figure!

Where Are You, Sun?
Another
dreary (in terms of weather) day today. I swear, I don’t remember the last time
the sun was out. Don't get me wrong, I love the gloom, it is one of the better
personality qualities that I have (that was sarcastic, maybe). I went for my run after
spending the rest of the day doing other things and, like yesterday, trying to
find some excuse to not get out there. I finally texted hubby and he said,
"Just get out there! It is such a nice day for it!" I wondered if he
was looking out the window in the same state that I was…nice day? His optimism
on life is uncanny!

Found a Birthday Race!
It
has stopped snowing overnight and I spent the morning hanging out with the dogs
and snow blowing our Wal-Mart-parking lot-sized driveway. I do not think I know
two dogs who love the snow more than the Gander and Chev and I tried to hold
onto their free spirit in all that I was trying to get accomplished this
morning. I have provided pictures below, because there is nothing cuter than Labradors
frolicking like deer though a winter wonderland.

A Toxic Relationship
It
certainly is a snowy blizzard outside. Roads are not plowed, at least by my
standards. I will not be going out today for day two of "two on and one
off." After yesterday's workout, I am not going to feel guilty about it
either.
Today,
I thought that I would talk about why I run. I run because it is the LIGHT to my
very dark relationship I have with food.
Suffice to say, I have no cute pictures of my fur children to post or pretty views or my crazy running fashion sense. We are getting down and dirty. Here goes...

Those Pesky Muscle Fibers!
So,
let me tell you how my four-mile run went today: Fricken' amazing!
Looks like something out of Sleepy Hollow.
Yup, snow is coming!

Neon Vest and Pink Socks
I walked the dogs at breakfast
this morning and a very deep fire-blazing colored sky was cradled on the
horizon. You know what that means? “Red sky at morning, shepherd take warning.”
Of course, I see this, go grab my phone for a picture for you dear friends and
the sky was already three shades a lighter red. How quickly the sun rises! At
any rate, a good 10 degrees out with WCF of -2 degrees. I took this picture out
in the frigid cold with muck boots, PJ shorts and a hoodie and suffice to say,
my knee caps were scraping icicles against my cartilage. Small sacrifice! Thank
goodness the dogs walked themselves and came back home when called. I grabbed a
road selfie on my way in. It was calling my name, I swear, but I said, “Sorry,
not this morning, it is a rest day.”

The Little Old Couple
I cannot thank everyone enough for all their support on my debut blog post. I like to think of it as my mission statement, a solid foundation to why I think this blog can be important. I have so much to say and I will try so hard to not make it a novel each and every time. So much love was given through texts, calls, and Facebook and if I can move ONE person through my writing, I have done my job.

My Amazing Body
On October
27, 2014, I went for a run. I know that many people do this for exercise, to
stay thin, to "blow off steam," and so forth. I do not know why I
decided it had to be running. I could easily bike, go hiking, ski, ice skate,
weight lift, or use an elliptical. However, I thought running was the only
thing that I could do with myself. No equipment is necessary to perform this
task and I did not have to go anywhere, except out my front door.
